Grass Pitches
Vauxhall Recreation Club has arguably the best grass football and rugby pitches in the area.
Our football pitches are allocated to certain local football clubs and the University of Bedfordshire throughout the season and have even played host to Stuart Pearce’s England U’21’s squad as they prepared for a fixture against Portugal U’21’s at Wembley. Our rugby pitch plays host to Vauxhall Rugby
Club and University of Bedfordshire.
Due to wear and tear and the potential overuse of our grass pitches, as a rule our pitches are mainly kept purely for the above mentioned. We are however sometimes able to accommodate the odd additional fixture during pre-season or towards the end of a season.
